5peňazí – a financial education initiative by Národná banka Slovenska

Through the programme ‘5peňazí’, meaning ‘5 coins’ in Slovak, we offer financial education projects for everyone – children, adults, schools, and vulnerable groups. We’re changing the perception that financial education is boring and overly formal.

We help people navigate the world of money through clear, expert, and practical education.

We collaborate with schools, create activities for families, and engage the general public as well as vulnerable communities.

Our goal is to help people make better financial decisions – because when they do, life gets better for all of us in Slovakia.

What we do

Our activities are tailored to different target groups:

• Vulnerable groups

We cooperate with schools, create content for the 5peňazí knowledge hub, and support seniors and disadvantaged communities, including through the NBS Foundation’s grant programs.

We want people to make the right financial decisions, so that together we can all enjoy a better quality of life in Slovakia.
